UHost documentation

This UHost documentation covers running your own server: creating your first website, hosting email with the DNS records it needs, and backups you can actually restore from. Every plan has the whole panel, so all of it applies whether you are on the free plan or paying for one.

Your first website

Create a website, choose whether it runs as static files, PHP or Node.js, point a domain at it and get a certificate. Start here.

Email DNS records

MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC: what each record is for, and which ones UHost publishes for you.

Backups and recovery points

Schedules, what a recovery point puts back, and keeping copies somewhere other than the server.

DNS and your own nameservers

Zones, records and TTLs, and what it takes to run nameservers of your own instead of your registrar's.

Move a website over SSH

Give UHost a login for the server you are leaving and it fetches the website itself. What it shows you before anything is created.

Updating UHost

Signed releases, the snapshot taken first, which releases fix something, and what the check sends.

Moving from another panel

Pull a website off your old server over SSH, or read a full account backup. What comes across, and what does not.

Before you install

Getting the server ready.

UHost installs on a fresh Ubuntu 24.04 LTS server with root access, 1 GB of memory and 2 GB of free disk, and a hostname pointing at it. What you need and what the installer does covers that part, and the questions page answers what most people ask before starting.

This UHost documentation grows as the panel does. If something here is wrong or missing, write to support@uhostpanel.com and it gets fixed.

Your servers, without the per-account bill.

UHost launches 13 October 2026: the whole panel free for up to three websites, and Pro for unlimited websites on a server.
