The server health page
The health page is the one place that says whether this server is well. Each check that can be repaired from the panel offers Fix it, and anything you have decided to live with is recorded rather than forgotten.
Where it is
Server opens on Health.
Choosing Server opens the Health page, because it is the thing you most often want to know before anything else. It gathers the conditions worth acting on — certificates, services, disk, mail delivery, updates, the state of individual websites — into one register rather than leaving them on the pages they belong to.
Entries point at what they are about. A check concerning a website links to that website, so the health page is a way in rather than a dead end.
Fix it
For the things the panel can repair itself.
Where a condition has an obvious remedy the panel can carry out, the check offers Fix it and does it. That is the difference between a monitoring page and a health page: it tells you what is wrong and, where it can, puts it right without sending you to find the right screen.
Checks without a Fix it button are the ones that need a decision or a change outside the panel — a DNS record at a registrar, more disk, a choice about what a website should be doing.
Warnings you have accepted
Ignore, and Stop ignoring.
Some warnings are true and not worth acting on: a staging site with no certificate, a mailbox nobody reads. Use Ignore and the check stops demanding attention. It does not disappear — what somebody has decided to live with is recorded on the health page, so the next person can see the decision was made rather than wondering whether anybody looked.
Stop ignoring puts it back. Worth doing when a staging site becomes a real one, which is exactly when an ignored certificate warning turns into an outage.
Being told
Alerts are emailed, so you need not watch.
Conditions worth knowing about are emailed to the administrator address, so the health page is where you go to act rather than a page you have to keep open. If those messages are not arriving, that is itself a condition the health page reports — mail delivery is one of the things it checks.
